Cairns is one of Queensland’s most unique cities surrounded by tropical rainforest to the West and to one of the seven natural wonders of the world – the Great Barrier Reef. Which is why I am delighted to support Study Cairns as the regional study cluster for Far North Queensland.

A vibrant study destination, Cairns offers students many opportunities to discover and learn. With two world class universities and a range of VET, ELICOS and School providers, providing international students with a first-class education experience.

In 2022, we welcomed international students back to Queensland with Study Cairns enhancing students experiences right across Far North Queensland. Through the Study Queensland Regional Funding Framework, the Queensland Government is supporting Study Cairns to deliver initiatives including the Cairns Student Hub and key projects.

The Queensland Government continues to work with the International and Education sector to bring international students from around the globe to make Cairns a key study destination where natural wonders take centre stage in the classroom.
