Cairns announced as CISA 2018 Conference venue
The Council of International Students Australia (CISA) Executive Committee recently selected Cairns as the host destination for the 2018 Conference, to be held at the Cairns Convention Centre from Monday 25th to Thursday 28th June 2018.
CISA delegates will meet in Cairns, a leading region for international education, and share their experiences of studying in Australia.
Study Cairns, whose aim is to position Cairns as a premier international education destination and to maximise economic opportunities for the region, looks forward to welcoming delegates to Cairns.
Carol Doyle, President of Study Cairns is thrilled that Cairns has been chosen as the venue for next year’s CISA conference. ‘It will be an opportunity for CISA representatives to visit a city that welcomes 32,000 students annually to study and become part of our Cairns global family. We also look forward to learning from the delegates to continue to improve the quality international student experience in Cairns,’ Ms Doyle said.
Ahmed Ademoglu, National Vice-President of CISA, said, ‘Cairns will be a popular destination for the 2018 Conference. The annual CISA conference brings together international student representatives from across Australia and aims to help them find their voice, to challenge and shape their future, and to be effective advocates for a quality international student experience in Australia.
Representatives from education, government and business will engage with the students and work together to improve these experiences as well as celebrating students, student associations and education institutions.
