Cairns College of English & Business wins state export award

Study Cairns member Cairns College of English and Business recently claimed one of the biggest awards in its short six year history. At the annual Queensland Export Awards in Brisbane, Cairns College of English and Business won the Education and Training Award.

College Director Ueli Stauffer was delighted with the win which recognises CCEB as a leading education provider.

“It is wonderful to be recognised as a regional education provider amongst bigger operations which have more funds available,” Mr Stauffer said.

“I am thrilled for our school to have come away with this prestigious award. It is a win for the region and for Cairns in particular as a serious study destination.”

The Cairns CBD college has trained thousands of international students since opening its Lake St doors in 2010. With this win the college is now in the running for a national export award to be announced on 24 Nov 2016.

Mr Stauffer said that winning this award was recognition for the hard work put in by the dedicated staff and teachers at CCEB, along with Study Cairns and other educational providers in the region.

“I am pleased for the recognition in response to CCEB spending time and money to promote education in our region to many different markets around the world. Promoting CCEB to attract new markets while looking after existing markets has been key to our success.”

CCEB have adopted a personal approach which endears loyalty amongst staff and teachers.

“We’ve developed personal relationships with education agents and students, focusing on total care of students from a passionate team of staff and teachers who go the extra mile. At CCEB we’ve created a balanced nationality mix with students from different countries to ensure that everyone benefits.”

“I’d really like to thank Study Cairns for their support and the wonderful group of staff and teachers at CCEB. Everyone works so hard to make each students’ journey an unforgettable experience,” said Mr Stauffer.

According to QLD State Development Minister Anthony Lynham, Queensland’s businesses have the innovation, expertise and professionalism to take on international markets and these awards recognise business operators for their hard work and determination to succeed.
